Gospel Artist and Senior Pastor Lelton Davis

Rev Lelton Davis was born in Phoenix, AZ to the parents of Lelton Roy Davis senior and Janice Hollins in 1979. Rev Davis accepted Christ at a young age, and was privilege to learn about God from his mother, and grandmothers Australia Hollins and Dorthy Davis. Rev Davis belonged to Second National Baptist Church under Pastor Samuel Henry, and later joined Saint John Institutional Baptist Church. Rev Davis attended Sierra Vista Elementary School where he excelled in sports. Rev Davis later went on to high school at South Mountain High School and Tempe high School where he later graduated. Rev Davis continued to excel in both football and basketball where he won a state championship in football at Tempe, and later received a scholarship to play basket ball at South Mountain community College. Rev Davis after receiving his associate’s degree, transferred to Arizona State University. In 2010 Rev Davis answered his calling from God, and completed his first sermon August, 29 2010 at Saint John institutional Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor CR Mcduffy. In 2010 Rev Davis also married his long time girlfriend Deeanna Jackson as he step out in faith in obedience to God’s word. Rev Davis has two beautiful daughters Laquaezanee, and Lia Davis. Rev Davis also has four step children Erica Jackson, Kreola Johnson, Don Johnson, and David Johnson. Rev Davis uses his musical gifts to help share the gospel message of Jesus Christ. Rev Davis believes in utilizing his entire God giving gifts to praise God. Rev Davis has reach thousands of people on YouTube with his video pray for me. Rev Davis writes, preaches, teaches, and shares his experiences with the world. Rev Davis played and owned a semi pro football team for over ten years, and is currently working at PSA Behavior health as a BHT. In January of 2014 God call Rev Davis to plant a church called Work While It’s Day Ministries from scriptures John 9:4. This calling has been a blessing and a challenge as Rev Lelton Davis seeks to continue to be obedient and do God’s will. Since opening Work While It’s Day God has blessed Rev Davis with six other gospel artists under the ministry. Work While It’s Day now reaches the youth and young adults with various ways according to God Vision. Joining Rev Davis in the gospel rap ministry is Miss Scripture, Lamar Maddox, Tamarcus Mitchell, Jesus Rose, King Littles, and Ricktisha Henry. After completing two albums Pastor Davis has decided to release an album with the team called No Retreat. No Retreat is an album combining the pain, trials, and victories of the artist from the church to the streets. The album is full of praise and worship with a southwest twist.
